Making a game of everyday life

As technology continues to evolve, it is quickly moving “beyond the box”. Today, technology does not require us to be tethered to a traditional device. Shortly, nearly every device we interact with will have a digital sensor. This will allow for the activities in our lives to be monitored at levels that we’ve never imagined.

This talk by Jessee Schnell at DICE 2010 explores the future of gaming in the future as it becomes less about leisure and more about changing our behavior.

Jesse Schnell is a leading game designer and started Schell Games in 2004. He is also a faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center where we teaches on game design.
